This house was designed by Kazuyo Sejima for a client who wanted a guest house for artists traveling in the area. The inside is divided into two kinds of spaces. One part of the house is for the people to live in, and the other part of the house is an art studio. Because of the cold mountain climate, the walls are made of thick concrete to insulate the interior from extreme temperatures. Its white color and curved walls make it look like an igloo.
