About Architecture: Architect's Handbook Designing for People and Place

  Site
Every building is built on a site—it's the plot of land that the clients choose for their home. It can be anywhere: in a city, suburb, or remote area. It can be in the mountains, in the desert, or at the seaside. Most architects think that the relationship of the building to the site and environment is important. Do you?

HINT
If the site has a particularly nice view of sunrises or sunsets, think about designing a building that showcases those views. Or if there are going to be neighbors next door, think about how to improve privacy and reduce noise.
