Teen at the Youth Architecture Workshop
One of the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust's most popular programs is the Youth Architecture Workshop, held every summer in the drafting room of Wright's first studio in Oak Park, Illinois. Young people in grades 7 through 12 learn architectural and design principles as they create their own buildings and get acquainted with the ideas of one of the world's most influential architects. With Architect Studio 3D, the Preservation Trust brings to young architects everywhere the exciting process of designing a home — hands-on. Starting as real architects do, with a client who has lifestyle preferences and a site that has its own environmental considerations, you will use your imagination to design your own architectural solutions.

Your guide to basic architectural concepts and the design process is Frank Lloyd Wright himself. A rich variety of real-life residences inspires your own unique designs. The interactive experience enhances your understanding of spatial relations and the process of design. And state-of-the-art 3D modeling technology allows you to enter your creation to personally experience the space.

Will your client be pleased? Design the house and decide for yourself—and submit it to the Design Gallery so the world can tour it and voice their opinion too!

Computer Requirements
The Design Studio and Design Gallery require a fairly fast computer (preferably 1 Ghz or faster processor). Your browser must have the Shockwave plug-in. (Get the free Shockwave plug-in.) The Design Studio and Gallery will look and perform much better if you have a 64MB or better graphics card installed on your computer.

Architect Studio 3D was developed and designed by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust and Educational Web Adventures (Eduweb®)
